Trade In, Trade Up Program for Kids
Applies to All NEW Kids Bicycles Purchased from Wheeler Dealer Bicycle Shop
Our goal is to help every child enjoy a safe and quality bicycle while still making it affordable for families as they grow. So, when you buy any new kids or youth bicycle (24″ wheel or less) at Wheeler Dealer Bicycle Shop, we’ll give you back 50% of the original purchase price, in trade, when you’re ready to buy the next bike size up.
Simple as that. And while the program might be a brand new, we’re also making it retro, with the same trade up value for eligible children’s bicycles bought from us in the past. So what are you waiting for?
Here’s the details: The Wheeler Dealer Bicycle Shop kids bike trade up is good up to two years after the original bike purchase from Wheeler Dealer Bicycle Shop and is valid for trade-in for a larger wheel bicycle only. Just bring the original sales receipt and your child’s bike in reasonable, ridable condition, and we’ll take care of the rest. We apologize that we are not able to offer credits against new bicycles that have already been purchased. One bike per trade please. If you have 2 or more kid’s bikes to trade, you are welcome to apply each bike to a separate trade.
Which Bikes may I Trade Up To?
You may trade-up to any new larger size bicycle that is intended for use by a child/teenager. You may not trade for a same-sized or smaller bicycle.
What Happens to My Old Bike?
Your old bike will make another child happy. We will fix it up and sell it as a used bike. Any bikes that do not sell within 1 year will be donated to charity.
How do I Receive 50% Credit?
The bike must be in good working condition, or able to be made into such condition, and be cosmetically appealing.
Good working condition is defined as:
- A safe and functioning bicycle where all tires have no less than 50% of tread remaining, tubes hold air, no stripped nuts, bolts, or allen keys; brakes and pads stop bike adequately; drivetrain components (gears, chain, shifters, etc.) are in good condition, wheels and frame are intact, and all original accessories are present (i.e. baskets, training wheels, safety pads).
Cosmetically appealing is defined as:
- Rust-free; not excessively scratched; paint is not excessively chipped. We do expect some minor scratches and marks.
You can still receive credit if the bike can be made safe and appealing. We will simply reduce the credit based on our costs to improve the bicycle. Of course, we expect the bike to be used, but not damaged.
